Award Winning International eBay Business Expands

    USBluesware has grown like a flower from its basement origins at the Brothership Building at 141 North Street, Pittsfield, Massachusetts.  Now, the quietly industrious company is blossoming on the city's main street.

    Founded by veteran clothier Giora Witkowski and partner Linda Mitchell, USBluesware sells new and preowned men's and women's designer clothing at steep discounts.  It started rather humbly from a basement room of Witkowski's building and has grown to occupy its present location on the main, storefront level.

    The business partners started the company is 1997, originally as wholesalers of used blue jeans and other clothing to retailers.  The clothing was washed, refurbished, and shipped.

    In 1999 at a merchandise expo in Las Vegas, a friend mentioned that he had heard of someone selling men's clothing on eBay.  It would be a transforming piece of information for USBluesware

    In 2004 it all came together for USBluesware.  With the advent of internet consignment and web-drop-off stores, USBluesware was poised to make its next move.  USBluesware ran with the idea and began offering consignment services for local residents.  The program showed steady growth and popularity in the community which sparked the idea of offering nationwide consignment services.

    In January 2004 USBluesware partnered with FedEx/Kinko's to jumpstart the nationwide consignment drop-off program.  With the partnership, customers nationwide can ship their consignment items to USBluesware from any one of FedEx/Kinko's 3000 plus locations.

     USBluesware also hosts year long fundraisers for charitable organizations.  In 2005 USBluesware began making house calls to help individuals identify what items in their home have an eBay value.

    USbluesware has been with eBay since 1999 and embraces the idea of a "world wide marketplace". Like the company, the product line has evolved as well. From blue jeans, to designer clothing, and now into electronics, automobiles, art and antiques, USBluesware believes that with eBay there is a market.
